Perhaps the most famous astronaut of all time, the first human being to walk on the moon, pioneer in the Apollo program, and hero to many, Neil Armstrong has passed away today at the age of 82. Along with Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, Armstrong led the historic Apollo 11 mission which firmly established humanity’s ability to explore other worlds. No one will ever forget the words that Armstrong uttered as he stepped onto lunar soil for the first time:

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

As enthusiasts of space travel, we celebrate the contributions of this legendary individual and mourn his loss deeply. We salute you, Neil Armstrong, and thank you for making us all believe in the limitless possibilities of science, exploration, and our ability to one day walk on other worlds.
